Portugal highlights:

Spending time with mom, dad, Greg, Katrina and Kara

Red wine, many many pastries, good cheese, good bread, sparkling water, Indian food, sushi, grilled sardines, baked octopus, Port wine, hot chocolate, cappuccinos, green vegetables

Hot showers and a bubble bath

Walking 4-8 miles per day while sightseeing

Cooking for my family in a functional kitchen with actual tools and appliances

Castles, museums, old medieval towns

Grocery stores, fruit and vegetable markets, bookstores, souvenir shops, seed stores, yarn shops, health food stores

Public transportation

Free high-speed internet

Watching movies

Listening to people speaking Portugese and trying to figure out the pronunciation

Perfect weather, more or less: dry, sunny, and cool but not cold

Also, thanks to Terry, Ann Marie and Katie, Connie and Aristide, Grandpa and Zulma, Suzanne, Meme, Grandma and Grandpa and Martine,  for thinking of me and sending love/cards/gifts with my parents to bring to me!

Portugal low points:

Leaving my family for another 7-8 months until they come visit me here

Thanks for the shout out :) I feel like I’m famous, since it came from a local Madagascar celeb!
